Authenticity of reviews

We show customer reviews on our product pages. Under Section 5b (3) of the German Act against Unfair Competition we must tell you whether and how we ensure that these reviews come from genuine buyers. We do that here.

How a review comes about

Nobody can submit a review on their own initiative; there is no open review form. A few days after your order has been dispatched we send you an e-mail with a personal link. This link is valid exactly once and belongs to exactly your order. Anyone who has not ordered from us receives no link and cannot write a review. Every review created since the launch of this shop is therefore tied to a genuine purchase and carries the note “verified purchase”.

There is nothing in return

We do not reward reviews: no voucher, no discount, no prize draw, no bonus. Neither for a review as such nor for a positive one. We did not pay for reviews in the previous photo booth shop either.

What we check before publication

Every review is looked at by a person before it appears. We check for insults, advertising, third-party content and whether personal data has accidentally been included in the text; for photos also whether other people are recognisable. We do not check the star rating. A critical review is published just like a positive one, and we do not delete a review because we dislike its content.

Reviews from the previous shop

This shop is the successor of our previous photo booth shop at the same address. We have carried over the product reviews submitted there so that the experiences of earlier customers are not lost. For these:

  • They come from the same business and refer to the same products.
  • For some reviews the previous shop recorded that the reviewer had bought the product there. Only where this record is available to us from the transferred data does a carried-over review also show “verified purchase”.
  • Where we have no proof of purchase, we show the review without this note. We do not claim for it what we cannot prove.
  • Carried-over reviews were neither reworded nor selected. Reviews in another language are shown in the original; a translation is marked as such.

The average rating

The star rating and the count we display are calculated from exactly the reviews that can be read on the same product page. Reviews are never transferred from one product to another, and unpublished reviews count neither for nor against.
