Your situation and suitable systems

For wedding photographers an owned photo booth is an add-on that pays for itself after a few bookings at a surcharge of €400 to €700 per wedding: the Photobooth Ready from Greiz costs €3,040, the Photobooth Mirror €6,300 (as of October 2026, incl. VAT), both with DSLR, studio flash and instant printing. The booth runs on its own during the reception while you shoot the reportage.

Your situation

Couples increasingly ask for a photo booth, and you would rather not hand that job to a rental company. Your demands on image quality are higher than those of a pure rental operator: the booth photos should match your reportage, look good on paper and hold their own in the online album next to your pictures. At the same time the booth must not need attending, because you are busy during the reception.

Two systems for wedding photographers

Photobooth Ready 1.1, €3,040: compact, 22 kg, fits next to your photo equipment in the estate car. With a Canon EOS 2000D or 200D, studio flash with beauty dish (+€350) and printer it produces photos with clean skin tones; an existing Canon or Nikon DSLR from the camera list can be used instead. Set-up takes under ten minutes.

Photobooth Mirror, €6,300: the mirror booth for weddings in a ballroom or manor: full-length shots, animations and voice prompts on a 23.6-inch touchscreen behind mirror glass, LED ring around the lens, two flight cases included. It achieves higher add-on prices and works as part of the decoration. Details in the guide Mirror photo booth.

What the software offers for weddings

dslrBooth Professional is included with both systems. Relevant for weddings: print layouts with names and date, photo strips and single shots, online gallery with QR code for the guests, video booth for messages, boomerang and GIF, green screen and AI background removal without a green backdrop. You handle your image editing as usual: the RAW or JPEG files are on the booth computer after the reception. All features are on the software page.

What you get from the manufacturer

  • A powder-coated aluminium housing that withstands transport between venues.
  • Camera option or use of your own camera; flash and light shaper matched.
  • Delivery time 5 to 10 working days, net ordering for business customers.
  • Help centre with flash and camera settings, assembly guide as PDF.

Whether the purchase pays off compared with subcontracting is calculated in the guide Rent or buy a photo booth; the difference between DSLR and webcam is explained in DSLR or webcam.

Frequent questions

Questions from practice

More on technology, shipping and rental in the help centre.

To the help centre

Can I use my own camera in the photo booth?

Yes, provided the model is supported by dslrBooth; the list is on the page Supported cameras. The camera connects via USB and runs on a mains adapter. Many photographers use an older second body in the booth.

Who operates the booth while I am shooting?

Nobody has to. The start screen explains the procedure, guests trigger by touch or buzzer, printing runs automatically. You occasionally check the media supply or monitor the booth via the Booth Copilot app on your smartphone.

Do photo booth pictures match my photographic style?

With a DSLR and studio flash the booth delivers files you can edit like reportage images. You define overlays, frames and colour looks in the layout so that prints and gallery match your style.
